U
PDATED! As April turned into May, Stockholm turned into a Rockholm... okay, okay, let's not try to be poetic! Anyway, organizer Chris LeMon put together a fine line-up of hard rock acts of the eighties, spiced up with some hot rock bands of today. Unfortunately, the Icelandic vulcano erupted and the flights were in jeopardy, so it was decided that the festival would be postponed. Still, there was a smaller scale one day Rock Out in May, and our review of that gig can be found here: RockOut May.

There will be not one but two ROCK OUT's later this year, a two-day event in September (10th & 11th) and a one day gig in October (16th). We interviewed the acts who will be playing, and here's what they had to say! Please note that some of these interviews were conducted before the vulcano erupted, so the artists may refer to acts that were supposed to be on the original line-up, not these current ones.

[ GREAT WHITE / MICHAEL LARDIE ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

We have been touring a lot in the last 3 years with many more shows on the horizon, we are also slated to record a live album this year.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

A couple of songs from our latest release, "RISING"

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

We love festivals for one thing and most of the bands on our day, are right in sync with Great White.

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

We love Kix, they opened up for us on our 1989 tour with Tesla, I am also interested in seeing Vains of Jenna !!!

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

You would miss a high energy show, that's all about having a great time !!! A big SMILE on your face for sure !!!!

[LIZZY BORDEN]

November:
November 6 - Tokyo, Japan - Shibuya Cyclone
November 7 - Tokyo, Japan - Shibuya Cyclone

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

The set list is a (best of) Lizzy Borden featuring songs from each record. There are a few songs that we have added to Europe that we have not played in a long while, and we have a surprise song that we recorded (soon to be released) that we just might play at SROF. Every night on the tour we will mix and match some songs and change it up a bit so every show will be a little different than the night before. It’s going to be a fun show, can’t wait to get to Sweden!

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

I feel we can play anywhere with anyone.. we have played dates with poison and slaughter to slayer and megadeth, we have no limitations’. We’ve played glam festivals as well as really heavy festivals. I never wanted to join a club or be part of a movement, I just wanted to write good songs and put on a great show and that’s what we do. You can’t put us in a category and sometimes that’s hard for people to understand but it’s better than being labeled something you’re not. Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

There are a lot of bands on the bill that I’d like to check out.. the SROF will be our last show in Europe for 2010 so we will be well up for the party!!!!

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

The Lizzy Borden show is designed to entertain; you don’t really have to know the songs or even the band to enjoy what we do. There is a beginning, middle and an end. Just like you would not skip through a book or a movie, you would not want to miss a part of the show; you never know what’s going to happen. We all love Sweden and all have many friends there so I have no doubt that this will be a very special show for us and the fans.

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

We have just released our new singel "Bang Bang Baby Bang", a crazy singel with a lot of blood! This summer we do a Swedish "Bang Bang Baby Bang" toúr to promote the singel. Look, learn and listen at: http://www.rocknrollallstars.com

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

We are right now in the studio with the producer of The Hellacopters, Backyard Babies Tomas Skogsberg and record our debut album. It will be amazing! So we are going to play some new songs from the album. Be at Stockholm Rockout and see!

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

We love this festival!

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

U.D.O, W.A.S.P in October, Pretty Boy Floyd, Debbie Ray... Cool bands!

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

Bring your best, ROCK N´ROLL ALLSTARS will bring the rest! Ouuh!

[ DYNAZTY / GEORGE EGG ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

We released our debut album "Bring the Thunder" through Perris Records in June 2009 and have since played Swedish festivals and a European tour supporting The Poodles in November 2009! Right now we're booking new shows and writing new awesome material!

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

Expect the best songs from Bring the thunder, with even more power and a kick-ass show. There is a very small chance that we might play one of our new songs as well.... And of course an amazing drum solo from yours truly will be delivered.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

Haha. Feels very good to be in such great company. I feel we fit in perfectly with the other bands.

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

Slaughter and Steelheart of course! Really looking forward to their gigs. And Chris Laney ;)

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

Ok guys, you don't wanna miss our gig. We're the most extreme musicians in the bunch and we'll deliver as if our lives depended on it. We play heavy hard rock with BIG choruses, you'll all enjoy our show!!

[ TUFF / STEVE RACHELLE ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

TUFF has been playing select shows on the West Coast here in the US. We are excited to come play in Sweden and this will be our first ever appearance in the region.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

I can NEVER give away the secret recipe! But the fans can expect to hear tracks from “What comes around..Goes Around”, “Religious Fix” & “The History of Tuff”.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

I look to enjoy all of the bands. Many or most of these bands are friends, old friends and comrades from over the years. TUFF has played with many of these bands since our inception including KIX (former Atlantic Records label mates of ours), Great White, Bulletboys years ago (1989) and as recent as 2009. Same applies for Pretty Boy Floyd, Dizzy Reed & Keel. We all know each other.

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

It’s gonna be fun. I am anxious to watch my new favorite band (Vains of Jenna) as well as the other great young bands from Sweden. Also, Tigertailz. I have been long distance friends with these guys over the years. I met Pepsi Tate 20 years ago (R-I-P), and the original front man Steevi Jaimz
lived with me in Los Angeles in the early 90s. I am excited to say hello to Jay & Kim and support them as well..

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

Bring a sack lunch, and be ready for a long day. I will be there Thursday nite playing acoustically, also TUFF performs Friday and I will sing for SHAMELESS on Saturday. Be there!

[ SHAMELESS / ALEXX MICHAEL ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

Well i am currently working on new songs for the next Shameless CD even we still dont know when we gonna record it. We are also working on more shows in the fall.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

Yes we gonna play Summertime Goodbye which is one of my favourite songs. Other then that we gonna play songs from all the albums which gonna be really cool.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

This festival gonna be real awesome !! So i feel we are in the right company as long as all those pretty swedish girls will be there as well.

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

I'm gonna watch Steve with Floyd and of course Tigertailz who have always been one of my favourite bands. I never saw Kix before so i look really forward to watch them. Actually one of my exgirlfriends was the hot dancing girl in their video "Same Jane". Well she is actually still really hot ;-)

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

I think checking for food during our set is like doing dishes while having Sex . If you are into bands like Poison, Pretty Boy Floyd, Tuff you will for sure love our set. Also if you cant make it on friday this will be your chance to see Metal Costanza Sludge Stevie live on stage.

[ KINGDOM COME / Lenny Wolf ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

This year has been quite calm so far. I've been hiding in my studio, preparing the new cd. Dealing with air condition technician issues in my flat, trying to get it cool. In the meantime Eric spent 3 month in India helping kids and finding his inner center. Frank has been busy with his lovely woman, who is expecting her 4th child;-) Hallelujah, what a guy! And we just found a new drummer by the name Nader. Hendrik, our former drummer, went off doing other things. That is pretty much all there is to say. Living life with all it's aspects;-)

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

Depending on who is coming, they may find them new or not;-) Don't know. But we'll be playing what we like to play. I have not been able yet to experience working with our new drummer yet. So depending on that, it may change the set list. But we will not cover Madonna.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

That is part of playing on festivals. You often "wonder";-) But honestly, I have not taken a close look yet. Our manager Martina just contacted us about doing a festival with the guys from BADMOUTH. We really like them a lot and simply agreed to it, despite who else is playing with us. Besides, the last time we played in Stockholm, I fell in love, for a while;-) I'm sure there will be bands we (or I) look forward to see and others we don't care much about. That is probably good for the audience. They love being able to show their disliking and affection for bands;-)

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

We'll be checking out the bands who are playing once we arrived. But I noticed not having heard about some of them. So that may be an interesting good thing.

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to grab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

It is definitely not me who is gonna say anything, it's our music who does all the talking. The ones who don't like our sound, can go eat, drink, have sex, jerk off, have a smoke, read Mad Magazine or the bible.

[ Emil Ekbladh / Dirty Passion ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

After a very successful year - touring Europe with Faster Pussycat & Enuff Z'Nuff and supporting bands like Saxon and Y&T - Dirty Passion is finally working on the long-awaited debut album. This will steal a lot of time from us right now, meaning we won't be touring as much for a period. It's gonna be worth waiting for and we may showcase some of the new material at Stockholm Rock Out - a gig we could NOT turn down, of course!

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

Kick ass rock 'n' roll as usual! We will mix some of the old stuff you've seen on the last tour with new material.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

We certainly feel we belong and we sure got some good company too. It's always a pleasure to be on the same bill as several great bands we grew up listening to. We wouldn't wanna be anywhere else!

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

We'll try to check out as much as we can. Wouldn't wanna choose just one or two out of all these great bands.

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

We're pretty confident people will stay during all of our set. You can always expect the very best from Dirty Passion. There's really no reason to go looking for food when you're invited to our rock 'n' roll party! See you!

[ Killing Touch ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities.

Hi! Right now we're working full-time to our second album! We're finishing the pre-production and we should be ready to enter the studio and record the drums as soon as we get home from the Stockholm Rock Out. Our energies are all directed towards the new album. We'll sure have some live shows during the Winter, but our priority will be the recording sessions. We're all busy at many different things, but we know that a Killing Touch record demands a great devotion to work, so we're scheduling our whole agendas to be as most effective as possibile with the greatest serenity.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

We haven't decided a setlist yet. We'll rehearse all the songs we've been playing during the One Of A Kind Tour and we'll make the ultimate decision just before we leave. So we won't preclude any chance and we'll have the possibility to change things during the process. For us it's the first time in Stockholm (and in Sweden!), so it will be hard to choose a setlist...we'd love to play all our songs! The only way to know the setlist...is to come at the Stockholm Rock Out!

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

We're glad to play with all the other bands of the S.R.O.! We've never had any problem with any band we've played with and we're open-minded, so we like every band who really enjoys Music and good company! Journalists or resellers love to (and sometimes have to) label the bands, but if you make Music with passion and at your best, you're always right! Of course...there will be only Rock/Metal bands so the atmosphere will be really hot! We're very curious to hear some of the bands play, 'cause we know their music but never had the chance to see them live.

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

Michele Luppi: All these years, among opening-acts and various festivals, I was always surprised, in every sense. I learned not to have expectations, to enjoy every band without prejudices. This way you can fully understand what a band is really worth.

Giorgio “Jt” Terenziani: I'm really curios to hear UDO, 'cause I've known the drummer for a long time!

Michele “Dr.Viossy” Vioni: I'd say UDO above all, 'cause I know the drummer too and I think they're going to set the stage on fire...!

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

Let's start from the fact that this is our first time in Sweden. Then let's say that on stage we always do our best. We've played a lot this year and the band has grown beyond our greatest expectations. Playing live is our best and most natural way to express what we recorded in the studio. If you liked One Of A Kind, be prepared, 'cause Killing Touch live are even better! You don't have One Of A Kind yet? Just listen to the first live song, and we'll guarantee you'll stay 'till the end of the show! Beyond all the slogans one could create, we think that Killng Touch Music gets you into another dimension, once played live. And we're looking forward to being there, playing and giving our best for you all!

[ KEEL / RON KEEL]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

We’ve just released our brand new album “STREETS OF ROCK & ROLL” simultaneously with “THE RIGHT TO ROCK: 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION” through Frontiers Records. In addition to performing at major festivals across the U.S., the past year was spent writing and recording “STREETS OF ROCK & ROLL” which has gotten an incredible response from the fans and the media.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

I believe in giving the people what they’ve paid for – a fun, kick-ass high energy show packed with the songs KEEL is known for: “Rock & Roll Outlaw,” “Somebody’s Waiting,” “Because The Night,” “Tears Of Fire,” of course “The Right To Rock.” There will also be two or three songs from the
new album included in our shows this year.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

Oh, we’re in good company all right – this is one of the strongest festival packages we’ve been a part of. We have good friends in almost all of the major acts on this bill so it will be a true reunion party as it usually is at these events.

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

Many of us have the same booking agent, Sullivan Bigg at Bigg Time entertainment, so we get to see each other a couple of times a year at festivals like this. In terms of a live show, I will not miss KIX – they are one of the most entertaining bands in the business – and I will not miss
Steelheart – Mili is the best singer in the genre and he takes us all to school every time he walks on stage. But if I could choose only one, it would have to be KEEL – I never get to see their shows because I’m always working…

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

These people can do whatever the fuck they want to do, eat, drink, sing along, put their fist in the air – they’ve paid their money, bought their tickets, and they paid for the right to enjoy themselves. Our job as entertainers is to make sure they don’t leave disappointed. KEEL hasn’t been to Europe in 24 years, and we’re coming to the Stockholm Rock Out to deliver the goods, and I can promise the audience that we will give them everything we’ve got.

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

We are currently on a month long US tour and we just finished playing at the Rock N America festival in Oklahoma City with Twisted Sister, Ratt, Cinderella, Dokken, Scorpions and other awesome bands. The Stokholm Rockout festival is one stop on our first full European tour ever. We will be touring through 10 different countries over a 5 week trip all throughout Europe. We are super excited to go overseas for the first time to rock all u crazy Euro's faces off.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

Since we have never played there before we are going to be pulling our favorites off our first album and a few songs off the the new record. Thinking about throwing in a couple surprises in the set but u gotta come to the show to see those.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

We are always stoked to play with great bands from any genre or any decade as long as they rock. We feel like we fit right in with the lineup and can't wait to get there!

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

Yes for sure. We are gonna support our friends Stivie Rochelle from Tuff and Dario from Lizzy Borden, but we are also looking forward to seeing John Corabi (who we jammed with last weekend at an afterparty) and Wig Wam. Plus we will be probably cruising the festival hangin out with fans and shit.

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

The only reason it's okay to leave our set is if your gettin a beer and u better be gettin us one too. You can eat when your dead. Rock N Roll Bitches!

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

Hi there! Since WIG WAMs latest album NON STOP ROCK'N ROLL was released in January this year the band has been touring. By a coincidence I, the bands frontman, was offered to join the clash-of-the choirs on prime time TV in Norway, and accidentally performed WIG WAMs latest single DO YA WANNA TASTE IT on the very day the album was released. My choir wan the whole thing and our album climbed straight up to #1 on the charts here in Norway. You can check out the performance on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6F238oIOuo

Then the band joined a major outdoor Winter Tour for the benefit of the Cancer Federation in Norway, then kicked off our own NON STOP ROCK'N ROLL TOUR 2010 in Tokyo in late April and has been touring ever since. We also did a performance on this years Swedish Eurovision Song Contest Final at Globen.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

Well, for this tour we cover all our albums, and we are dling a bunch of songs from Non Stop Rock'n Roll of course. So you'll hear Do Ya Wanna Taste It, Non Stop Rock'n Roll, Walls Come Down, Rocket Through My Heart...but also our live favourites from the previous albums such as Hard To Be A Rock'n Roller, In My Dreams, Daredevil Heat and so on. Plus Teeny's got this great new guitar theme added to his guitar solo. A must hear for all guitar freaks out there. I mean. He even made Hank from Turbonegro cry during the theme ;-) My absolute favorite part of the show.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this? Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

We are definitely in the right company. I'm especially looking forward to meet our friends Fatal Smile, that supported us on our first Japan tour. It's gonna be a real treat to check out bands like Great White and Keel live too. And of course UDO.

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

We will simply let the music and our performance do the talking. Check out the first two songs. If you still wanna go have that burger instead...you are probably at the festival for the wrong reasons anyway.... We'll rock the shit out of everybody!!! Can't wait to blow up Stockholm!!!

[ PRETTY BOY FLOYD] Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

PRETTY BOY FLOYD is currently in the studio doing pre-production on a new album, the 1st real follow up to LEATHER BOYZ WITH ELECTRIC BOYZ. The band is still continuing the 20th ANNIVERSARY TOUR of LBWET with dates in 2010 in California, Mexico as well as another short run in Europe starting with their flagship date of STOCKHOLM ROCKOUT! Aside from the new original album, there will also be a forthcoming release of a Covers Album and new music video.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

In Addition to LEATHER BOYZ WITH ELECTRIC TOYZ in its entirety, there will be a few songs not often played live.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

We’re definitely in Great Company. This is a festival that shouldn’t be missed. Some bands have new material and they haven’t been heard or seen in Scandinavia yet. This festival will be an intimate setting where not only will you see your favorite bands for the 1st time in many years, in some cases, the 1st time ever, you can also expect that we will get to meet with a lot of fans, old and new.

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

We’re all glad to see all the bands…as most of the bands are all friendly with one another for many many years. It will be like a high school reunion! We excited to see KIX, Vains of Jenna, Slaughter and Badmouth.

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

Floyd is one of the few bands that toss tons of merch from the stage..if anything, you might get your hands on our brand new merch, or a shirt from 20 years ago! It’s a fun band that really works with a great crowd. You’re the 5th member of the band, don’t forget that!! A band needs all of it’s members to rock out at STOCKHOLM ROCKOUT!

[ STAR*RATS / DENNIS POST ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

We're just out there kickin' ass, making noise, & promoting our newest album "Screw The Consequences" (Swedmetal 2009) In the next 3 months we'll be rippin' it up in Germany, Switzerland, France, Finland, Denmark, and of course Sweden. Also, we've slowly begun recording the next album.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

It's pretty safe to say that the lion's share of the set will be from "Screw The Consequences". Not only is it the album Mr. Whattafuck sings on, but the songs work way better than the older songs.. We might throw in a cover song or something...You got any requests? ;-)

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

Dude! We've never been about fitting in, but yeah! think we blend in really well, and bring something for the folks that like it a bit rougher, punkier, faster, Heavier, than the majority of the bill. I'm really excited about seeing a lot of the bands I grew up listening (..drinking) to like Slaughter, Great White, Kix, etc. but also, I'm stocked about Crashdiet, Vains Of Jenna, and Debbie Ray playing as well, and even though Badmouth played Denmark a gazillion times, I look forward to finally seeing them live as well. This bill is so fuckin' red hot, I get blisters in my mouth just from talking about it;-D

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

I guess I sorta already answered that, but I think if I have to pick 2 it would be Crashdiet with Simon fronting the band which I haven't seen yet, and I'm totally gonna have somebody film us so I can bask in that after the show:-)

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

Easy! We're the closest you'll ever come to gettin' a nuke punched through your skull...in a good way;-) And just to prove my cocky remark, Star*Rats won the peoples choice award for best live band at this years Danish Metal Awards, not D.A.D;-)

[ M.ILL.ION / B.J LANEBY ]

Apart from being a part of the Stockholm Rock Out line-up, give us an update on your band's recent activities?

M.ILL.ION are recording a new album this spring, so we´ll take a break from the studio to do the Stockholm Rock Out Festival. The album will be released on Metal Heaven in Europe after the summer. Since the last album Thrill of the Chase we now have two new guys onboard, Andreas Grövle on guitar and Angelo Modafferi (from Australia) on keyboards. Both great musicians. The band is full of energy and we have a lot of fun. The new album is shaping up to becoming really something!

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

Material from most of our six albums + 1 or 2 new ones from the upcoming album. Premiere gig with Angelo and premiere of presenting some new stuff, it´s going to be exciting.

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

The festival looks great, maybe it´s more focused on glam rock and sleaze etc while we are a bit more classic hardrock but there is no doom or growl metal so it´s gonna be a fun rock´n roll party night - which suits M.ILL.ION just fine.

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself? Personally I will defenately check out Slaughter, Dizzy Reed of Guns n Roses etc and also some of the upcoming bands. I will be around and I have heard a rumour there is a bar as well…;-)

There might come a time during the festival that people might want to crab something to eat. Here's your chance to convince the ones who don't know your band why they shouldn't leave the room when you're on stage! Free speech!

You would miss a high energy show, that's all about having a great time !!! A big SMILE on your face for sure !!!!Well, we have done six critically acclaimed albums with the seventh on the way and are described as " "the perfect mix of hardrock, melodic metal and rock´n roll for the 21:st century" so miss at own risk! We usually bring smiles to people´s faces and we hope to see as many of those as possible in front of The Tube Stage on the friday night, when we headline. We probably gonna film it for a future video as well so, it´s gonna be special.! See You all there and remember: Together we are the Rock´n Roll Nation!

Right now we're writing and recording songs for our upcoming cd, there´s plenty stuff we've written but we´ve been on a tight schedule that kept us busy on the road. We hope to have it finished and out before this year is coming to an end. The new songs will blow you away!

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

I would say you've heard half of the songs before, be sure to check out our first cd. And as I said before, we've written a whole bunch of new songs that we want to show the world. The setlist is like a trip through heaven and hell, it will surely blow your mind!

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

I think I speak for the whole band when I say that this is truly an honour to play with all these great bands. I've grown up with these kind of "hairbands" and I think you will both hear and see it for yourself if you check us out!

Are there any particular acts in the line-up you'd like to check out yourself?

U.D.O of course, and also I will try to check out Wig Wam! Its a nice mixture of both new and old acts at this festival, I'm sure there's something for everyone! See you there!

We've been into studio recently and there is still much more to record, we want our fans to be satisfied with our music so we let the recording take its time to be absolutely perfect! We are also taking much time to socialite with other bands and people to create strong bonds. We're still on with our plans to take over the world.

What kind of a setlist can we expect, any songs we might not have heard before?

We are planing to give our fans 2 new songs to let them know that we're still kicking ass! And we will play our fancy songs, Alice in ourland and Bandit and of course the best of the best...

If you take a look at the other bands on the bill, do you feel that you're in the right company or wonder what the hell you are doing playing a festival like this?

Yeah, we're very joyful to play with many other bands that have been going through for many years, to actually play with artists we were listening to as children is a very great honor to us. We also want to show them that we, the young ones, also are capable to rock out the mind of people.

There are very twisted tastes within Alice but we all agree to Pretty Boy Floyd and U.D.O

One thing is for sure, if you dont want to feel that you missed something at SRO you better check out Kissin' Alice. We promise to show the audience what pure Rock n roll is and we're going to give 200 per cent onstage as always!
